I feel horrible

I have lied to you, broken promises, i'm a deadbeat food blogger. How did this happen? I can't believe it. I had such good intentions. From the beginning I said that I wouldn't just post for the sake of posting. I don't want to inundate you with crap, but this is crazy, right? I am just feeling really, really overwhelmed at the moment. There is so much going on in my life right now. Most of which is really fantastic; All of which is really time consuming. And the thing about being a food blogger is, it takes time (and a working scanner - - at the moment, i have neither). So hang in there, please. I beg you. It won't be like this forever, because if it is I will just curl up and die (a bit overdramatic, but you get my point). Thank you for all of your encouraging emails (some threatening one's, too). As soon as life permits, it's you and me, together, drinking, eating and having a wonderful time.

Well, at least it's good time-consuming, not bad time-consuming! Have fun having your time consumed in a good way! I'll be ready to raise a glass to your return when you're ready to come on home.

Oh no worries, I shall save you on my reader until I see you have updated. Blogging, especially food blogging, takes time. Don't feel horrible. Your ideas and photos really inspired me this weekend in Philly. And I found out about your blog via Julia Allison, so you should pay her a thank you. My friend and I love looking at your photos! Awesome.

But in case you want to laugh...

Don't panic - I know the feeling! Weird that you start blogging for fun but then it turns into a bit of an obligation... an obligation that you want to fulfil, but still... all gets a bit hectic at times!

Love your photos, by the way... wish I could take shots like that :-)

Hang in there,

Vicky, aka Amsterdam Foodie

So I've decided you need a deadline. Come September 1st, you need to blog again. Not an apology. Not a drink. A good ole $20 post, or something awesome.

A good cookie recipes will go a long way!

I think you're a wonderful blogger, I mean....you keep ME coming back. That's got to mean something. I've got worse ADD than....I don't know what.

Oh, I sort of used one of your photography peices on my blogpage. I gave you the credit, and am asking if that's alright. It looks muy snazzy.

Perhaps it is time for someone to say the obvious: this blog is dead. I mean, really, it seems that your obligation to this site has paralyzed you and we should release you to whatever endeavor can occupy your time. This is not a putdown but rather an affirmation that we all grow and maybe you've outgrown this site, with all your other efforts, etc. No hard feelings. You are an excellent writer, a muse of sorts, but I'm feeling bad for you that so many weeks pass without a word. Your $20 shot at the store was brilliant and the drinks fo the week, too. But enuf is enuf, no? Paris didn't ruin you....it pointed out that life can not possibly be the same after you've been there...if you pay any attention at all. So, Ms. Jen, adieu, be well and merci.

I had to come back and read this again because right now in my life I am feeling very overwhelmed with the hurry up of everyday life. Here at least I feel I am not alone.
