Here, You Take It.

You should have this twenty bucks. I don't deserve it. I wonder what you'll buy with it? I can't wait to hear all about it. I will be offering up a Drink of the Week tomorrow (all is not forgotten, plus I think we could all use one). Oh, I just had an idea. You could put your money towards this. Yes, do that. Or do whatever, just let me know how it ends up.

i made a trip to Yarra Glen market last weekend. it's an outdoor market in the Yarra Valley (a wine region of Victoria, Australia) choc-a-bloc full of local produce, local crafts and local gourmet yummies.

www.craftmarkets.com.au

i managed to purchase three trays of homemade pasta and three jars of homemade jam (strawberry, blackberry and raspberry). i spent $24. i also spent another $5 on piping hot homemade Italian doughnuts to keep me warm from the frosty autumn air.

yep, i cheated. my shopping escapade happened last week and i spent over $20. but by golly it was worth it! yum yum!!

I still say the best $20 I could spend would be on the Ben and Jerry's ice cream that was on sale at our local grocery store. 3 pints/$10 which means $20 buys you 6 pints. (not including tax)

my faves are:

Cherry Garcia
Chunky Monkey
The Gobfather
New York Crunch (this is where the names get fuzzy...)

you could pick the other 2.

I bought three gorgeous heirloom tomatoes ($4.75), fresh mozzarella from Blue Ridge Creamery ($7), and a huge bunch of basil ($3). It made a gorgeous salad. There was a little change left over so I put it towards a bottle of sauvignon blanc. But, girl, next week you really need to buy yourself something nice...cheers!

I think with 20 dollars, I would buy a lot of atmosphere…a lot of mood and ambiance.

Maybe buy a bit of care freeness with a some gas, mega-huge drink, and a bit of open road. Maybe buy a hint of melancholy with a cup of coffee, a sad book, and soft sofa at a coffee shop.

A great question!
