On Valentine's Day, I Profess My Love . . .

On Valentine's Day, I profess my love for ficoco. I found it in the way that I find most of my canned and jarred goods - - pretty label. Oh, I do that for wine, too. Is that bad? I think that might be bad. Either way, it totally paid off here. This stuff is amazing. Figs and cocoa. I wasn't even sure that I liked figs (how very unfoodie of me), but that question was answered with one dip of the finger into the jar. "I like figs!" is exactly what I exclaimed after tasting it. I already knew how I felt about cocoa. That's chocolate, right? So today, on Valentine's Day, be nice to your toast, and slather it with ficoco (and butter, but you already knew that, didn't you?).

PS. I got mine at whole foods.
That is a dangerous place.
A very, very dangerous place.

I also pick wine by the label...so no, I don't think that's bad. Central Market and Whole Foods are both verrryyy dangerous places for me...but like a little bit of Heaven on earth. :) I love your blogs.

How fun! I have to say, I've never tried this, but it sounds yummy! I'm going to check Whole Foods for a jar next time I'm there. And, yep, I'm absolutely guilty of judging products by their label. I guess I'm a sucker for good design -- speaking of which, your site is lovely!

oh, i am jealous. in my small town, it will be months before ficoco, the wave of the future, will ever get to me.

I've never tried ficoco, but since Nutella and its fancier chocolate/nut friends had to be abandoned once my daughter's nut allergy was discovered, this should be worth a go. I would think the figs would make it very, very sweet, though?

I have never had this! I can't wait.

I used to have a guilty feeling when I'd buy something for its label. But clearly a prettier label makes for a better experience and tastier food ;)

Oh. My. God.
I must find this. Don't tell my bathroom scale, but I eat Nutella and fig preserves right out of the jars. I imagine this will taste something like ... hmmm ... heaven on bread.
And the jar is fantastic!!
